Who are we?
The Friends is a small group of dedicated volunteers that supports the school through fundraising activities to pay for all those valuable extras that enhance school life. It is a welcoming and inclusive team that is always looking for new faces with fresh ideas to join the fun.
What do we do?
Our main aim is fundraising and we do this through a variety of money-raising activities during the school year. In the past these have included, Christmas and summer events, family discos, hot chocolate and ice lolly sales, pre-loved uniform and book sales, and by providing refreshments during school events such as sports day.
What happens to the money we raise?
In 2023, the Friends contributed £3,500 to the new library and £1,000 towards the sensory garden project. This is in addition to funding smaller items such as class parties at Christmas and end of year, crackers to go with the Christmas dinner, a leavers’ festival, leavers’ hoodies and books, and SATS revision guides.
In previous years the Friends have funded the adventure playground, sportswear for school teams, a sound system to be used in school productions, and equipment and resources for after-school clubs.

How can you help?
We’re always looking for extra helpers for events, so if you can spare the time, please do let us know. If you have a skill, trade or contacts that could be useful to our team, we’d love to hear from you too!
